An organization established to draw film and television creators to Lincolnshire has initiated a call for participants to serve as extras in an upcoming production. Location Lincs, an initiative conceived by Heather Greenwood, boasts a portfolio that includes work on documentary films such as Bros: After the Screaming and Class of 92. Ms. Greenwood stated that the search is on for individuals with an interest in World War Two to participate in the project, alongside period-appropriate vehicles. Ms. Greenwood commented, “We are looking to recreate 1940s London in East Lindsey.” She explained that specific information regarding the film remains “top secret” currently, as Yorkshire is also being considered as a potential filming site. Nevertheless, she emphasized, “We need to show we’ve got the people, the props and the vehicles.” She further stated, “We want as many people as possible to get involved.” Ms. Greenwood elaborated, “The idea is to make a road look like war time – so passers-by are maybe carrying their gas masks and dressed as if they were of the time.” She also mentioned, “We are also looking for vehicles [from the era].” Ms. Greenwood, a native of Boston and a Bafta nominee for her contributions to Bros: After the Screaming, indicated an interest in connecting with owners of classic vehicles for upcoming endeavors. Lincolnshire has served as a filming location for a variety of productions in the past, such as Napoleon, Peterloo, The Da Vinci Code, Strike, and Wild Bill.
