The New Saints have secured the Cymru Premier title in each of the previous three seasons. On Friday, November 22, the match between Newtown and Connah’s Quay was postponed at Latham Park due to a frozen pitch. Saturday, November 23, saw Flint Town United defeat Briton Ferry 2-1. This victory allowed ‘The Silkmen’ to move out of the bottom two, overcoming their relegation rivals. Michael Burke put the home team in front after halftime, but Keiran Williams quickly leveled the score just four minutes later. However, Harry Owen scored a late goal, securing Flint Town United’s fourth league win of the season and elevating them to 10th place. Briton Ferry’s 11th league defeat of the season resulted in their drop to 11th position. The game between Caernarfon Town and Barry Town United was also postponed on Saturday, November 23, owing to adverse weather conditions. Cardiff Met secured a 3-0 victory against Aberystwyth Town, the league’s last-place team, thereby solidifying their hold on a top-six position. Lewis Rees opened the scoring for ‘the Archers’ two minutes into the second half. Thomas Vincent and Matthew Chubb then contributed late goals, marking Cardiff Met’s eighth league win this season. Aberystwyth Town remains in 12th place, having accumulated only 10 points from 17 league matches. At Carmarthen’s LHP Stadium, Haverfordwest County and Bala Town played to a 0-0 draw, with neither ‘the Bluebirds’ nor ‘the Lakesiders’ able to break the deadlock, resulting in shared points. Haverfordwest maintains its third-place standing in the table, while Bala occupies seventh, trailing Caernarfon by two points, though Caernarfon has a game in hand. The New Saints achieved a remarkable 3-2 comeback win against league leaders Penybont. Playing at Park Hall, ‘Saints’ overcame a two-goal deficit. James Crole, a former Cardiff City academy forward, scored twice within four first-half minutes, giving ‘Bont’ a strong lead. However, Josh Pask’s header in the 50th minute reduced the deficit for TNS, and Danny Davies equalized 15 minutes later. Danny Redmond then scored the winning goal in the 89th minute for Craig Harrison’s team. This victory places them within one point of Penybont and gives them a game in hand over Rhys Griffiths’ squad.
