Rangers manager Philippe Clement has called upon his squad to “be more lethal” when attacking, ahead of their Premiership fixture against Kilmarnock on Wednesday. This comes as Hamza Igamane, despite scoring three goals in three Europa League outings for Rangers, has yet to find the net in the league. The team from Ibrox has registered only 18 league goals across 13 matches this season, a tally surpassed by Celtic, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Dundee, and St Mirren. While Clement emphasized the necessity for patience as his attacking players adapt to Scottish football, he directly addressed what he expects from the encounter with Derek McInnes’ team, stating: “To score more goals. I think that’s the major one.” He further elaborated: “We don’t concede much, but we have to score more goals, be more lethal in the final third and looking how we can create this with the players available.” Clement also referenced previous matches, noting: “We had a lot of good chances that were saved really well against Dundee United (1-1) and then St Johnstone.” He added: “You always want more, of course, but you need to create this automatism between players in that way.” Highlighting the team’s evolution, Clement observed: “Look at the starting line-up offensively, there’s not one player from last season who started in the last game. We have a lot of new players in that area and you need to find connections.” Post navigation Hibernian’s 0-0 Draw Against Ross County: An Analysis Unai Emery Discusses Mental Fortitude and Champions League Ambitions Ahead of Club Brugge Match
