Islanders are encouraged to support a charitable cause by having their Christmas trees recycled. Jersey Hospice Care has offered to collect trees from both commercial premises and private homes in exchange for a minimum donation of £15. The organization intends to process these trees into mulch, which can then be utilized by local farmers and gardeners. To arrange a collection, bookings can be made through the charity’s website. Collections for businesses are scheduled for January 8 and 9, while residential collections will take place on January 11 and 12. Scott Douglas, the events manager for Jersey Hospice Care, commented: “It’s an amazing way of giving back to the island that supports us so well.” For updates, follow BBC Jersey on X and Facebook.
