Litter bins throughout Surrey Heath have undergone improvements as part of a local council initiative. Across the borough, existing dog waste bins and smaller litter receptacles have been replaced with larger, closed-top litter bins. This program, designed to enhance waste capacity and minimize litter dispersal, has already led to the upgrade of 1,230 bins. The subsequent stage of the project involves the installation of recycling bins in Camberley’s town and village centers, a process scheduled to continue until March 2025. Surrey Heath Borough Council indicated that the initiative is expected to provide an additional 17,000 litres of waste capacity throughout the borough, in addition to enhanced recycling facilities. Councillor Morgan Rise stated: “The new bins will offer greater capacity for waste collection, reducing the likelihood of litter being scattered by the wind or spread by animals.” Post navigation M1 Quarry Proposal Appeal to be Heard by Planning Inspector Volunteers Aid Walking Route Restoration Efforts; Icy Conditions Halt Summit Climb
