The event occurred on Sunday, specifically between 01:00 and 01:30, after the young woman was approached by an individual in the Cowgate vicinity. Law enforcement officials described the suspected perpetrator as approximately 20 years of age, white, with a slim physique and average stature. His attire included a jacket in either beige or khaki, a black T-shirt, dark trousers, and light brown boots. Investigators are currently examining local closed-circuit television footage and carrying out door-to-door questioning within the affected locale.
