Salford City midfielder Kelly N’Mai has stated that his recent strong form stems from feeling confident in his own capabilities. This season, Kelly N’Mai has netted three goals in 17 appearances for Salford City. The 20-year-old Dutchman, who first played for Salford in 2021, secured a new two-year contract with the club during the summer. N’Mai, a product of Salford’s academy, made 28 League Two appearances last term and has continued his form into 2024-25, receiving a nomination for the League Two Player of the Month award last month. “Confidence is key for any forward – if you’re confident then you start hitting things cleaner, you get in the right positions, it’s nothing to do with training,” he informed BBC Radio Manchester. He added, “It’s just about feeling good in yourself and then you do the right things.” Having established himself in the first team last season and scored three goals from 17 appearances in all competitions this term, N’Mai holds significant aspirations for his footballing future. “Long term it’s to get this club as high as possible,” he further stated. “If not the club then personal gain, get a move to the Premier League or Champions League and play for the Netherlands, that’s the dream.” Post navigation Wales Women’s Team Nears Historic First Major Tournament Qualification Chelsea’s Defensive Performance Draws Fan Scrutiny
