Renowned pop artist Robbie Williams is scheduled to perform at Bath’s Royal Crescent, marking one of the rare occasions this historic site has hosted a concert. This open-air event, slated for June 13, 2025, is part of Williams’s UK tour. Promoters have described it as “the coming together of a truly iconic artist and venue.” Constructed two and a half centuries ago, the Royal Crescent played a significant role in Bath receiving its UNESCO World Heritage Site designation in 1987. The Royal Crescent Society commented, stating: “A special artist like Robbie Williams deserves a special venue and we can’t wait to bring this concert to the wonderful supportive people of Bath.” The performance is set to occur on the Royal Crescent’s private lawns, with the distinctive 30 Grade I Listed terrace houses serving as its backdrop. This event has been characterized as a “fitting way to celebrate 250 years since The Royal Crescent was built.” Historically, the Royal Crescent has hosted only a limited number of concerts, with the most recent being two performances by Michael Bublé in 2022, which drew an audience of 25,000. Paul Roper, a councillor for Bath and North East Somerset, remarked: “It was fantastic to see the city buzzing with fans coming in for the Michael Bublé shows, which gave a big boost to local business and hospitality over the weekend they were on. I am sure we’ll see the same again next summer and we look forward to welcoming Robbie Williams to our wonderful city.” Williams rose to prominence as the youngest member of Take That in 1990, subsequently launching his solo career in 1995. His career since then includes six of the Top 100 best-selling albums in British history, 85 million album sales globally, and 18 BRIT Awards, a record surpassing any other artist in music history.
