Friday evening saw varied outcomes for two of the area’s sports teams: Cheltenham Town secured a victory against Tranmere, while Gloucester experienced a defeat to Exeter in the Premiership Rugby Cup. Snowfall was recorded in numerous parts of Gloucestershire this week, including at Birdland in Bourton-on-the-Water. The attraction’s resident penguins were observed seemingly enjoying the snow, which commenced on Tuesday. The prevailing cold temperatures resulted in the closure of several schools throughout the county, among them Chipping Campden School and Abbey View School in Tewkesbury.
