Phil Parkinson stated that Wrexham could find satisfaction in the club’s “overall picture,” notwithstanding the late frustration experienced during their League One match against Cambridge United on Saturday. The team led by Parkinson appeared destined for another victory at home until Dan Nlundulu converted a penalty late in the game, securing a 2-2 draw for Cambridge at the Stok Racecourse. Following Birmingham City’s 2-0 win against Bristol Rovers over the weekend, Wrexham dropped to third place in the league standings. Nevertheless, Parkinson praised his team’s accumulated points to date as “outstanding.” He commented, “There’s always going to be an element of frustration when you drop two points at home, but when we review it and look at the overall picture, we’re in a very good position.” He added, “We’re always evolving as a team and learning about the league and the players we’re coming up against.” Parkinson further stated, “It’s (the aim) to maintain standards in every game and look at when it doesn’t quite go our way, what we can do better, which we’ll do from today. “But all in all, the points tally from the games has been outstanding from us.” This season, Wrexham has maintained an unbeaten record in home league matches, securing nine wins and two draws across their 11 fixtures played at the Stok Racecourse thus far. However, they encounter strong competition for a top-two position from teams such as Wycombe Wanderers and Birmingham. Parkinson suggested that his team might strengthen their squad during the January transfer window in an effort to maintain their competitive standing among League One’s leading teams. The Wrexham boss added, “We’ve got some really good players and the squad is strong. Who knows, we might even improve that in January.” He concluded, “The strength in depth in the division, there’s a lot of teams that’ll still have an eye on those top two positions. “We’ve got to work really hard in terms of our analysis, the training and everything else and keep doing what we’ve got to do, and we’ll see if that’s enough come the end of the season.” Post navigation Hungary Coach Adam Szalai Reports Good Health Following On-Pitch Collapse Manchester United Reportedly Monitoring Ederson and Dibling
