Mohamed Diomande has acknowledged that the Rangers squad is aware of the recent pressure they have faced. The Ibrox team currently trails Celtic and Aberdeen by nine points in the Scottish Premiership. During their League Cup semi-final against Motherwell, the team was met with boos at half-time, though they ultimately secured a victory following second-half goals from Cyriel Dessers and Nedim Bajrami. As Rangers prepare to travel to Greece for their Europa League fixture against Olympiakos, midfielder Diomande expressed his desire to leverage the momentum from the win against Motherwell. “There’s been a lot of pressure,” Diomande said. “Obviously, we’re not going to hide it.” He continued, “And we’ve had poor performances lately but it’s all about bouncing back and I think we are on the right way to get to the level we expect of ourselves and the coaches, also in what the fans expect. So we’re getting there.” Regarding the upcoming European challenge, Diomande stated, “Olympiacos is a big team. But we have also shown that we can win games away from home.” He added, “And yeah, it’s going to be a tough game but we are going to try get the three points.” Diomande emphasized the team’s approach: “Hard work, determination, and we are going to prepare ourselves to do what the coach says we should do to win the game.” Reflecting on the Motherwell match, Diomande commented, “It’s confidence for us (Motherwell win), and even though it was hard on Sunday, I’m happy that we showed a winning mentality and we came back to win. And that’s a good way to go into a more difficult game.” Post navigation Poland, facing squad challenges, seeks redemption against Scotland Kettlewell Foresees Marvin Kaleta Will ‘Grow from Strength to Strength’
