Former world number one Tiger Woods is scheduled to compete next week alongside his son Charlie at the PNC Championship exhibition tournament in Orlando. The duo of Woods and his son Charlie (pictured right and left, respectively) has not yet secured a victory at this event. Earlier this month, Woods had stated he was not yet “tournament sharp” for competitive play, as he continues his recovery from back surgery performed in September. The 15-time major winner, who will turn 49 this month, has not participated in a tournament since The Open in July, where he failed to make the cut for the third consecutive major. Despite this, he and his son will be making their fifth appearance at the annual 36-hole team event, which permits players to use golf carts. The father and son pair finished tied for fifth place last year, following a second-place finish in 2021. The PNC Championship features current and former professional golfers competing with either a parent or a child. German golf legend Bernhard Langer and his son Jason are set to return to the Ritz-Carlton club to defend their title. Among the other participants in Florida are Fiji’s Vijay Singh with his son Qass, and American Nelly Korda with her father Petr.
