Three men have been apprehended following the shutdown of three cannabis cultivation sites by police in Coventry. Around 500 cannabis plants were seized during operations at two locations on Hollis Road and one on Hugh Road. Police stated that one property contained five growing rooms and a nursery for saplings, while another featured three growing rooms and a separate area for plant cuttings. They emphasized that issues linked to cannabis farms can have a devastating impact, as dangerously bypassed electricity systems frequently cause fires. Officers reported that a 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis, abstracting electricity, and immigration offences. A 28-year-old man was also taken into custody on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and immigration offences, alongside a 38-year-old man arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and abstracting electricity.
