Scotland’s Kathryn Bryce delivered an unbeaten 37 runs off 24 balls, steering the Hobart Hurricanes to a three-wicket victory over the Perth Scorchers. This win propels them nearer to securing a place in the Women’s Big Bash knockout stage. Chasing a target of 139 runs, the Hurricanes initially stood at 51-0 but then experienced a collapse, reaching 95-7. Subsequently, Bryce and Lauren Smith formed a 44-run partnership, enabling their team to cross the finish line with 14 balls remaining. The Hurricanes have now moved into fourth place in the standings. Their position can only be overtaken by the Sydney Sixers, who must defeat Brisbane Heat and substantially improve their net run-rate (as of 24 November, 09:05 GMT). Brisbane Heat has already secured their spot in the knockout phase. However, they could potentially finish at the top of the table and automatically advance to the final on 1 December, should they win and elevate their net run-rate above that of Melbourne Renegades.
