Charges have been brought against eight additional individuals in connection with an alleged break-in at the UK premises of an Israel-based defence company, which occurred during a pro-Palestinian demonstration. Previously, the Old Bailey was informed that Elbit Systems UK, situated near Patchway, Bristol, was reportedly targeted by individuals associated with Palestine Action during the early morning hours of August 6. The Crown Prosecution Service stated its intention to argue in court that the alleged offences possess a terrorist connection, a submission to be made when the defendants are presented at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at a later date. Elbit Systems, headquartered in Israel, operates as a global defence contractor. Elbit Systems UK functions independently and has previously informed the BBC that assertions regarding its facilities supplying the Israeli military are “completely false”. Six individuals face charges of aggravated burglary, criminal damage, and violent disorder: Tutea Hoxa, 28, from Beckenham, south-east London, and Julija Brigadirova, 32, from Manchester, have been charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage. During an earlier hearing, it was disclosed that a vehicle was driven into the building’s doors, resulting in injuries to two police officers who responded to the incident and a security guard. An additional ten individuals have made court appearances and are scheduled to face trial in 2025 concerning the same event, with one of them accused of wounding a police sergeant.
