Amy Boulden has announced her retirement from professional golf. The 31-year-old, who hails from Llandudno, Wales, turned professional in 2013 and has since competed full-time on the Ladies European Tour (LET). Boulden’s sole LET title was secured at the 2020 VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open. She also claimed one LET Access Series title, winning the 2014 Association Suisse de Golf Ladies Open following a play-off victory. Her best finish in a major championship was a tie for ninth at the 2015 Ricoh Women’s British Open at Turnberry. “After 11 years of playing professionally on the Ladies European Tour, I have made the tough decision to step away from playing competitive golf,” Boulden stated on social media. She continued, “The journey, full of highs and lows, has been nothing short of incredible, and I look back full of gratitude for having the opportunity to play this sport all over the world and meet some amazing people along the way.” Boulden also expressed gratitude, saying, “I would also like to say thank you for all the support over the years – to my coaches, caddies, sponsors and family that have been there every step of the way.” She concluded her statement by adding, “I now look forward with excitement to the next chapter of my life.”
