An 18-year-old male individual lost his life following a collision involving a car and a heavy goods vehicle, an incident that resulted in both vehicles catching fire. West Mercia Police reported that the incident occurred on the A4103 in Yarkhill, Herefordshire, at approximately 01:00 GMT on Monday. The police force further stated that the car’s driver was declared deceased at the site of the accident, while the lorry driver was transported to a medical facility due to serious injuries. Law enforcement officials indicated that a blue Vauxhall Corsa and an HGV were involved in the collision, and they issued a public appeal for any witnesses to provide information. The West Midlands Ambulance Service stated that paramedics discovered both vehicles engulfed in flames upon their arrival at the location. The service specified that the driver of the heavy goods vehicle sustained injuries described as serious but not life-threatening. According to the traffic monitoring service Inrix, the A4103 was shut down between the A417 and Weston Beggard Lane throughout Monday morning as investigations into the incident were conducted.
