Kingsley Jones, a former Wales captain who has previously served as head coach for both Russia and Canada, has concluded his role as Canada’s head coach. His departure was reached by “mutual agreement”. Jones dedicated the past seven years to Rugby Canada, during which he contributed to the enhancement of the men’s programme. Under his leadership, the team secured qualification for the 2019 World Cup; however, they did not qualify for the 2023 tournament and are currently positioned 23rd in the global rankings. Jones stated, “It has been an honour, and a great experience for myself and my family, to be with Rugby Canada over the last seven years,” adding, “The discipline, hard work and professionalism of the great people in this program are second to none, and I would like to thank the players and the staff for their commitment and support.”
