South Yorkshire Police have identified Rob Foxton, an 80-year-old man, as the individual who passed away after being struck by a Jeep while crossing a road in Rotherham. The incident occurred on Barbers Avenue in Rawmarsh, at the intersection with Netherfield Lane, at approximately 20:00 BST on October 16, when Mr. Foxton was hit by the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital following the collision but succumbed to his injuries on October 20. A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police confirmed that the driver of the Jeep remained at the scene after the crash and has been assisting officers with their investigation. The spokesperson further added that Mr. Foxton’s family is receiving support from specialist officers. Authorities have urged any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage of the collision to get in touch with them.
