Residents Confined During Masked Burglary in Carryduff

Three residents of a house in Carryduff, County Down, were confined to a bedroom as three masked individuals extensively searched their home. The group gained entry to the BarsonsGrange property shortly before 21:45 GMT on Saturday. One of the intruders seized the householder’s mobile phones and compelled the occupants to remain in a bedroom, while the other two masked individuals proceeded to search the upstairs rooms. Authorities have reported that a quantity of cash and a piece of jewellery were stolen during the event, and they have urged anyone with relevant information to come forward. Detective Inspector Ryan stated that a phone owned by one of the residents also sustained damage. “Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and has dash cam footage to contact us, as we are keen to identify vehicles linked to the suspects,” he said.
