Thousands of spectators gathered along the streets of Glastonbury to witness the town’s annual carnival. Approximately 50 decorated floats participated in the historic procession that moved through the town on Saturday evening. This event marked the final carnival of the year for the Somerset circuit, occurring just eight days after the Weston Carnival. As part of the festivities, a collective of DJs celebrated the 376 bus route, which connects Glastonbury and Bristol, by performing aboard one of its buses. In the open feature class competition, Ramblers Carnival Club secured victory with their entry ‘Pinball’. Gremlins earned second place with ‘Beatlemania’, while Renegades placed third with ‘The Manor’. Masqueraders claimed first prize in the Glastonbury local feature class. Regarding the cumulative county carnival standings, encompassing results from all seven towns, Gremlins achieved the leading position.
