Colchester Derelict Warehouse Fire Addressed by Firefighters

Firefighters have been addressing a fire at a derelict two-storey warehouse located in Colchester. Emergency crews were informed that there “may be people” inside the building when they received the call to Hythe Station Road at 11:38 GMT. However, the ambulance service was subsequently notified that no individuals were present within the structure. An aerial ladder platform was utilized by firefighters. The service later confirmed that it had completed a comprehensive search of the building and was in the process of extinguishing remaining hot spots.
