English golfer Charley Hull will commence the final day of the LPGA Annika tournament in Florida with a one-shot lead, having posted a two-under-par 68 during the third round. The 28-year-old golfer achieved two birdies on the front nine, followed by a fluctuating back nine that featured three birdies and three bogeys, bringing her overall score to 12-under par. Weiwei Zhang of China and American Nelly Korda are one stroke behind Hull at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair. World number one Korda concluded her round strongly, posting a three-under 67, which narrowed Hull’s overnight advantage by one stroke. Concurrently, Zhang made a significant ascent on the leaderboard with an exceptional eight-under 62. Zhang’s round, which is the lowest score recorded in the tournament thus far, comprised nine birdies and one bogey. Korda has previously won this tournament on three occasions. The event is named in tribute to Annika Sorenstam, the Swedish golfer who is a 10-time major champion. Wichanee Meechai of Thailand and Jin Hee Im from South Korea are two shots behind Korda and Zhang, having both completed rounds of 68.
