Lottie Fry secured victory in the dressage freestyle event at the London International Horse Show, achieving a score of 86.645%. This win follows her bronze medal performance at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she competed with Glamourdale. Riding her stallion Glamourdale, the 28-year-old athlete triumphed in the fifth leg of the World Cup’s Western European League, held at the ExCeL Centre. This marks a repeat of her success at the same event in 2022. Fry’s performance placed her ahead of Isabel Freese of Norway, who secured second place, and Dutch rider Dinja van Liere, who finished third. Following her victory, Fry commented at the presentation, stating, “I have to say the feeling I had in here was something I’ve never felt before.” She added regarding Glamourdale, “He [Glamourdale] was absolutely on fire. I’m so grateful to be able to do that in London in front of this crowd.” Fry, whose upbringing was near Driffield in Yorkshire but who now resides and trains in the Netherlands, previously earned a bronze medal in individual dressage at last summer’s Olympic Games in Paris. The final event of the 2024–25 dressage World Cup season is scheduled to take place in Basel next April.
