Construction is progressing at the location of a new £6 million nursing home in Staffordshire, as confirmed by a local authority. Slated to commence operations in early 2025, the 33-bedroom facility, situated in Coronation Court, Cannock, is designed to deliver specialized care for adults facing complex needs. Beyond its residential accommodations, the home will feature shared dining and living areas, sensory bathrooms, an activities hub, a therapy room, a hair salon, and an accessible garden. The council indicated that the upcoming three-storey structure would include three ensuite rooms and is anticipated to create approximately 100 jobs, assisting individuals living with brain injuries, dementia, mental health conditions, neuro-disabilities, and physical disabilities. Council leader Tony Johnson expressed that he was “incredibly impressed” with the facility, adding that it would serve as a “fantastic asset” for the region. He further commented, “This facility will also bring a massive jobs boost to the town.” Councillor Maureen Freeman, who holds the portfolio for regeneration, additionally remarked: “The thought and care that has gone into the design is exceptional.” Executives in the construction sector confirmed that the new nursing home remains on schedule for completion by early 2025, while leaders in healthcare underscored the significant demand for such facilities. Deeley Construction was awarded the contract to complete the development, which will be owned and managed by the healthcare provider, Exemplar Health Care.
