St Johnstone earned a valuable point at Aberdeen on Saturday. Makenzie Kirk is convinced that St Johnstone will achieve wins, following what he described as another “really good” performance in their draw against Aberdeen. The 20-year-old forward scored the opening goal at Pittodrie, marking his third goal in eight appearances, before the Dons equalized after the break. Simo Valakari’s squad has secured only one victory in their last six matches, yet Kirk is certain that triumphs will follow if they maintain their current playing standard. “We just need to keep doing what we are doing,” Kirk told BBC Scotland. “It is only a matter of time before we get the points on the board.” He continued, “The performances over the last few weeks have been really good. I think we are progressing and we are doing really well.” Kirk concluded by stating, “It is just about picking up the points now and keeping positivity around the place.”
