An individual has received a prison sentence after assaulting two people with a knife and striking a police officer’s head with a concrete slab. Noah Hardingham, aged 19, residing at Lowburyholme Road, Over, Cambridgeshire, placed a knife against the neck of one of two men inside a car, instructed them to exit the vehicle, and then drove away with it on June 17. Additionally, he menaced two different individuals with a concrete slab and, upon the arrival of law enforcement, hurled it at an officer, resulting in a facial laceration. Hardingham admitted guilt to several charges, including robbery, wounding with intent, and taking a car without consent, during proceedings at Huntingdon Law Court on Friday. He received a sentence of four years and four months, to be served in a young offender institution. Cambridgeshire Police reported that the robbery occurred at approximately 21:30 BST on June 17, at High Piece Crescent, Over. Hardingham approached two men who were seated in a car, held a knife to the neck of one of the victims, and instructed the other to drive to the road’s end. Displaying the knife, he ordered them to exit, stating, “it’s not worth losing your lives over a car”. The vehicle was subsequently discovered abandoned by the roadside. The victims did not report the robbery; instead, two of their friends confronted Hardingham the following day, pursuing him and striking him repeatedly in the head. Hardingham responded by visiting their residence, equipped with broken wine glasses and a concrete slab, which he then used to assault police officers. Police Constable Andy Watters commented that the incident was “extremely frightening for all victims involved” and that Hardingham “showed no remorse for his violent behaviour”. Hardingham entered a guilty plea to two counts of robbery, along with single counts of wounding with intent, criminal damage, possession of a Class B drug, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, possession of a knife in a public place, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
