Derbyshire has finalized a new contract with pace bowler Ben Aitchison for the 2025 season. This agreement comes after Aitchison was unable to participate in the entire summer campaign due to a back injury, an issue that has previously hindered his development since his initial appearance for Derbyshire. The 25-year-old has recorded 68 first-class wickets since his debut in 2020, in addition to 19 wickets in white ball cricket. His most recent first-team match was a County Championship fixture against Worcestershire in June 2023. Mickey Arthur, the head of cricket, commented on the situation, stating: “His skillset impressed me from the very start, but unfortunately injuries have meant we’re yet to see the best of him. He has progressed really well in his recovery and I’m looking forward to seeing him bowl in pre-season.” Post navigation Glasgow Warriors’ Captain Sione Tuipulotu Comments on 38-19 Win Against Sale Sharks Mickey Mansell Achieves First Major Semi-Final, Citing ‘Unbelievable Feeling’
