Police Officer Appears in Court on Rape Charge in Aberdeen

Gary Forbes, a 30-year-old police officer, has appeared in court in Aberdeen after being charged with rape. He is accused of raping a 34-year-old woman in the city during August. Mr Forbes’ court appearance took place at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday. The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) stated that he did not enter a plea and was subsequently granted bail. Police Scotland issued a statement confirming the details: “A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault on a 34-year-old woman within a property in Aberdeen on Friday, 23 August.”He appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, 1 November.”
