Omar Riza, Cardiff City’s interim manager, awaits confirmation regarding Alex Robertson’s fitness to rejoin the team for Wednesday’s fixture against Luton Town. Robertson, a midfielder, was absent from Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Norwich City due to a hamstring injury. “He had a slight ache in his hamstring, so it was a cautious one really,” said Riza. “We just need to manage him and see how he progresses before we make a decision on what happens on Wednesday.” Robertson transferred to Cardiff from Manchester City during the summer and has netted two goals across 12 appearances this season. The Australian international has become a crucial asset for the Bluebirds, having started every match since Riza assumed management prior to sustaining his injury. Cardiff aims to prolong their six-game unbeaten streak when they confront the Hatters. Right-back Perry Ng is once more eligible to play, having served a suspension for the Norwich match.
