Guernsey’s States-owned airline has indicated that significant fog is expected to continue causing flight disruptions on Tuesday, attributing the issues to aircraft and crew being “out of position”. Aurigny stated that certain delays are anticipated throughout the day as the airline works to “repositions our teams and aircraft”. Further fog is forecasted for later in the day. In response, the airline is providing passengers the opportunity to modify their reservations to a different date without incurring any fees. For flights that have been officially cancelled, passengers will be sent an email containing a link to request a complete refund. The most straightforward method for customers to alter their flights is through the airline’s official website, which also provides up-to-date information regarding flight statuses. A spokesperson for Aurigny stated: “We are committed to minimising disruption and doing everything we can to support all our customers during this time.” “Given the persisting nature of the current weather conditions, we’re offering customers full flexibility, including the opportunity to claim a refund so they can avail themselves of all possible transport options.”
