An arrest has been made after a driver exited his vehicle and was subsequently struck by another car following an altercation. Police stated that the driver of an Audi A3 was injured during a confrontation with the driver of a Kia. The incident took place on Willington Road, located between the villages of Willington and Repton, at approximately 05:10 GMT on Tuesday. The driver of the Kia was reported to have left the scene, proceeding towards Repton. A 37-year-old man, who resides in Nottingham, has been apprehended on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. It is believed that prior to the incident, the two vehicles had traveled down the B5008 towards Repton, originating from the Willington direction. The Audi driver, described as being in his 50s, was transported to hospital for treatment and remains in a serious but stable condition. Willington Road was closed for collision investigation purposes but was reopened at 14:30.
