Voting has concluded for the election to select five representatives for the States of Alderney. Nine candidates were nominated to contest these five positions, which account for half of the political seats within the island’s government, an administration led by an elected president. Polling stations at the Island Hall were open from 09:30 GMT until 18:30. Each voter was permitted to cast a maximum of five votes.
