Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton stated on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club that Nottingham Forest’s approach involves not “over-play[ing] or over-press[ing],” attributing their displays to a “collective effort.” Sutton further commented that manager “Nuno [Espirito Santo] has his own identity and people may view that as negative but they have a lovely balance.” He also noted that despite the owner having “been heavily criticised over the past couple of seasons, and some it deservedly so,” he remains “super-ambitious.” Sutton highlighted the team’s “pace in wide areas and the skill in Hudson-Odoi and Elanga,” adding that they “don’t concede many goals” and that “Milenkovic has been a sensational signing.” Regarding Chris Wood, Sutton observed that he “is banging the goals in,” and while “People call him old-fashioned,” Sutton believes “that’s slightly unfair,” asserting that “He’s an excellent centre-forward.”
