An individual on a hike was extricated from a bog after becoming mired waist-deep in mud on a fell. The incident occurred around 14:30 GMT on Sunday on Burnslack Fell near Chipping, according to the Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team (BPMRT). The individual was “unable to move,” prompting team members to secure him with a rope before successfully freeing him. The BPMRT reported that “After some food and warming up, the walker was able to walk down the fell to be checked over by an awaiting ambulance.” The team also extended gratitude to “the local farmer who kindly helped us.”
