According to Avon and Somerset Police, the incident occurred in the courtyard of the Orchard Shopping Centre in Taunton at approximately 19:20 GMT on October 19. The victim, aged in his 60s, was transported to a hospital but has since returned home. Police reported that subsequent to the altercation, the group also threw chairs and signs at the Little Italy restaurant within the shopping centre, resulting in a broken window. Increased patrols have been implemented since the event, and officers are conducting CCTV inquiries in the vicinity.
