Scott McLeod, Everton’s director of communications and engagement, and Mike Gittins, head of data science and insight, recently spoke with BBC Radio Merseyside regarding the procedure for Goodison Park season ticket holders to secure their places at the club’s upcoming stadium for the next season. A question was posed concerning supporters who currently sit in areas such as the Gwladys Street stand, desiring a similar “home stand” experience. The query addressed whether, considering the new stadium’s considerably larger capacity, fans not among the initial group to acquire season tickets would still have a strong probability of securing a spot in the designated home end. Gittins responded: “Based on our forecasts, the last season ticket holder to pick their seat at the new stadium will have 12,000-15,000 seats available for them to pick from. That home end is significantly bigger than the Gwladys Street at the moment. So we’re really confident that once season ticket holders get their opportunity to purchase, they will have a full range of options to pick from.”
