Kent Police have impounded five uninsured vehicles following an enforcement operation targeting delivery drivers in Thanet. On Friday, officers intercepted 28 individuals operating cars and scooters for employment, issuing a reminder “of their responsibilities to drive safely and legally”. The Home Office provided assistance by conducting checks on documentation and business insurance. During the operation, seven individuals received reports for various traffic offences, such as driving without a licence and lacking a valid MOT certificate. Separately, a 38-year-old woman from Ramsgate, identified as not being a delivery driver, was apprehended on suspicion of drug driving and operating a vehicle without insurance, subsequently being released on bail. Sgt James Cattermole commented: “People who regularly use vehicles on public roads as part of their job should ensure they are fully aware of legislation surrounding driving for a living.” Post navigation Former Boarding School Teacher Jailed for Sexual Abuse of Student Former Owner’s Remains Found in French Attic by Renovating Buyers
