Coastguard personnel were activated following the sighting of a vehicle immobilized on a beach within a secluded Cornish cove, located at the United Kingdom’s southernmost extremity. The black BMW was found embedded in the sand at Polpeor Cove on the Lizard, specifically at the foot of a slipway and steps, on Tuesday afternoon, as reported by the coastguard. Subsequent to initial worries regarding the owner’s location, coastguards representing the Porthoustock and Mullion teams confirmed that the individual was located “safe and well”. The vehicle itself was retrieved later on the same day. Ian Deady observed the car while walking along the South West Coast Path. He stated: “There was seaweed inside, it had obviously already been through one high tide.”
