York railway station experienced a closure after an individual was seriously assaulted on Sunday evening. Law enforcement officers were dispatched to the location around 20:45 GMT, where a person had sustained serious head injuries, as confirmed by British Transport Police. Paramedics transported the injured individual to a hospital. The incident resulted in disruptions to some train services. Det Supt Sam Blackburn announced that investigations are currently underway and that travelers should “see an increased police presence in the area”.
