Residents are being asked for their input on how to decrease air pollution within South Kesteven. South Kesteven District Council announced that the feedback gathered will inform its Air Quality Action Plan. This document will detail the district’s strategy for addressing poor air quality over the next five years. Individuals have until December 11 to participate in an online survey. Councillor Rhea Rayside, cabinet member for people and communities, stated: “The action plan sets out the tasks and behaviours designed to mitigate or lower emissions in Grantham town centre, including improving traffic management at key junctions and encouraging people to walk and cycle.” She further added, “We are, however, keen that it also reflects our ambition to reduce exposure to air pollution throughout South Kesteven and would encourage everyone from across the district to tell us which elements of air quality they think we should focus on.” Rayside also mentioned that the council is interested in understanding what measures people might be willing to undertake to improve air quality, such as car sharing.
