Tributes have been offered by the family of a 14-year-old girl who passed away following a medical emergency at a rugby club. Seren Jenkins, aged 14, was present at Amman United Rugby Club in Carmarthenshire last Friday when emergency services were summoned. Her family expressed that they were “devastated” by Seren’s passing. Seren, who resided in Tycroes, Ammanford, was described by her family as “a loving daughter, big and little sister”. They stated, “Seren lived her short life to the full and was a budding artist, rugby player and social media lover”. In a statement, they further mentioned, “Seren was loved by all who knew her and no doubt will also be remembered for her sense of humour”. The family extended their gratitude to all individuals who have contributed to a fundraiser established for Seren, and to those who have provided “their kind words and support at this horrific time”. They indicated that the funds would likely be allocated to various asthma services, the Wales Air Ambulance, “and a possible memorial for her friends to remember her”. Copyright 2024 BBC.
