Police have confirmed the arrest of a man on suspicion of arson following a domestic fire. Devon and Cornwall Police stated that the 21-year-old individual from Camborne was taken into custody on suspicion of criminal damage, including arson. The Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service reported that its crews, along with police, were dispatched to a fire at a residential property in St Agnes at approximately 18:40 GMT on Sunday. Firefighters from Perranporth, Tolvaddon, and Truro arrived to find the ground floor of the two-storey residence “well alight,” according to the service. A spokesperson for the service added that all individuals at the property were “accounted for.” A comprehensive fire investigation is scheduled to be conducted on Monday.
