A residence identified as a “focal point” for drug dealing and disruptive conduct has been sealed for a duration of three months. This council-owned dwelling, located on Arundel Close in the city’s Drypool area, was shut down subsequent to the issuance of a closure order. Hull City Council announced it had removed the occupants to “protect neighbours and vulnerable residents,” cautioning that any individual violating the prohibition will face fines or imprisonment. The authority indicated that a police investigation is currently underway, and it intends to regain possession of the house to make it available for rent again. Councillor Linda Tock stated: “This action shows that we have zero tolerance towards drug dealing and criminal behaviour, and that perpetrators risk losing their homes.” She added: “We will do everything we can to stamp out such nuisance behaviour in our neighbourhoods.” “Residents don’t have to tolerate it,” she concluded.
