Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva stated that concern regarding Ruben Amorim’s appointment as Manchester United’s head coach would only arise once Amorim officially assumes the position. Amorim, currently the manager of Sporting and set to lead the Portuguese champions in his second-to-last match against City on Tuesday, is scheduled to commence his role at Old Trafford on 11 November. Recalling their time as teammates at Benfica during the 2013-14 season, Silva remarked about Amorim: “He always showed he could read the game because he played different positions – as a defender, on the left, as a midfield player.” Silva further praised Amorim’s impact at Sporting, noting: “When he arrived Sporting hadn’t been champions for 20 years. He changed the playing paradigm of Sporting. They are the best team in Portugal by far.” Acknowledging the future rivalry, Silva expressed: “He will be a rival but I am glad someone else from Portugal is in the best league in the world.” He then reiterated his current focus: “When Ruben becomes coach of Manchester United, we will worry about that then. Right now we want three points to get to the top eight.” Post navigation Analyzing Manchester City’s Defensive Struggles Cardiff Devils Secure 3-1 Victory Against Guildford Flames
