The identity of a man found deceased by the side of a principal A-road has been confirmed. Nerijus Vysniauskas, 26, was discovered on the A47 near King’s Lynn at approximately 09:20 GMT on 2 December. An inquest into his death was previously opened and subsequently adjourned at Norfolk Coroners’ Court. A man in his 60s, who was arrested in Reading, Berkshire, on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, failing to stop, and failing to report a collision, has been released on bail until March. Senior coroner Jacqueline Lake recorded Mr Vysniauskas’s preliminary medical cause of death as a head injury. She noted that he was born in Lithuania, worked at a factory, and lived in Gaywood. On Sunday, detectives closed a section of the A47 between the Pullover roundabout and the Shoreboat roundabout as part of their investigation. No date for a full inquest hearing has been scheduled by the court. For Norfolk news updates, follow BBC Sounds, Facebook, Instagram, and X. Copyright 2024 BBC. All rights reserved.
