The relatives of an individual who passed away following a collision in Staffordshire have issued a tribute. Authorities reported that Balhar Singh Gill, aged 62 and a resident of Leicester, was stationary in a white Citroen Berlingo van on the A50’s eastbound carriageway, close to Blythe Bridge, when his vehicle was struck by a Mercedes lorry on December 10. The incident, which occurred shortly after 19:00 GMT, resulted in him sustaining a severe head injury. Paramedics transported him to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries two days subsequent to the crash. In a statement, his family expressed, “He was a steady presence in our lives, and while he left us too soon, his memory will remain with us.” They further stated, “We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of a father, husband, brother and uncle,” noting that he would be greatly missed. Police confirmed that the lorry’s driver sustained no injuries and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Law enforcement officials issued an appeal for individuals possessing pertinent dashcam footage to get in touch with them.
