Police reported that one man died and four individuals were transported to a hospital subsequent to a vehicle departing a roadway and coming to rest in a ditch. Leicestershire Police specified that the incident, a single-vehicle collision, involved a grey Mazda 3 Tamura. This vehicle veered off the A6 in Kibworth around 05:45 GMT on Tuesday. A male passenger suffered fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the site of the accident. The police force also stated that three additional passengers—one woman and two men—along with the driver, were transported to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening. A 27-year-old man has been apprehended on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. According to police, the vehicle was proceeding county-bound from Leicester in the direction of Market Harborough when the collision occurred. The police force has appealed to anyone possessing information or dashcam footage related to the incident to get in touch with officers. Leicestershire County Council has informed the public that the Kibworth Recycling and Household Waste site, located on the same road, is closed as a result of the collision.
