Authorities have implemented a dispersal order in a specific area of Nottingham, aiming to deter anti-social and disruptive conduct over the Halloween period. This directive will encompass Southchurch Drive in Clifton, its adjacent streets situated along the tram network, and Clifton Park. It will be active for a 48-hour duration, commencing at 16:00 GMT on Wednesday. Nottinghamshire Police stated that this measure was prompted by incidents reported during Halloween in 2023, which involved fireworks being discharged towards members of the public. Under the terms of the order, officers are granted increased authority to disperse any groups they deem likely to instigate disorder. The police force indicated that individuals who re-enter the designated zone after being directed to leave face potential arrest, while those under 16 years of age may be escorted back to their residences.
