A major A-road has been reopened after an electricity power cable that had fallen was successfully cleared. National Highways had implemented a closure of the A47 near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, in both directions. This closure, spanning the section between the A141 at Ring’s End and the B1040 at Thorney, was initiated after an electricity pole was reported damaged at 08:18 GMT on Sunday.
